The Center for Instructional Technology
(CIT) occupies the entire lower level of Hasseltine Hall. Established
in 1994,the Center consists of the Samuel K. Robert Computer Center, the
Media Center and the Multimedia Lab. TheCenter serves the Bradford College
community by providing easy access to instruction and information through
a variety of Computer, Media, Multimedia and Communications technologies.
Classes are offered in the Robert's Computer
Center including an Introduction to Computers, Statistics, Accounting,
Finance and Writing. In addition, the Center is responsible for supporting
the curriculum through training faculty and staff in computer applications
and through providing technical support in each class given at the Computer
Center. Students have access to 31 work stations for internet access and
usage of non-curriculum applications ranging from word processing, spreadsheets,
to desktop publishing and graphic presentation software.
The Media Center provides the necessary
resources for the audio/ visual support of the academic programs of the
college, as well as provide support to the various electronic media outlets
on campus, such as TV production and radio broadcast.
The Multimedia classroom furnishes state-of-the-art
technology and support for the Graphic Arts, Video Production and Multimedia
curriculum.The classroom is fully integrated with computers and software
that meet the requirements of both Desktop Publishing and Non-linear Digital
Video Editing environments.
